The Michael Smith Laboratories at UBC offers state-of-the-art research services including: DNA synthesis and sequencing, peptide synthesis, peptide sequencing and protein analysis, cell culture and downstream processing, the measurement of biomolecular interactions and reactions and related thermodynamics using highly sensitive calorimeters, confocal microscopy, production of transgenic/knockout mice and rats, and gene knock-outs.
